Hon. Henry Chimuenya Umejuru is a Nigerian professional and political icon, businessman and philanthropist of unmatched repute. Hailing from Idu Uso-Obile in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State Nigeria, Henry like many of his peers grew up under the harsh terrains of substandard quality of life and scarcity of resources predominate in the rural societies of Idu. Undeterred by the situations though, he conceived the vision to improve life for himself and others, thus engaged available opportunities while creating those necessary but unavailable ones carrying many along with him on the journey to a better life. His charisma and leadership from his early days caused him to be fondly referred to as “HH” by his peers and compatriots. After obtaining the necessary SSCE from Demonstration Secondary School Omoke, he began his academic journey by earning a diploma in Building Technology from Federal Polytechnic Nekede, where he developed a solid understanding of construction principles, techniques, and project management. His passion for broadening his skill set and his desire for a solid foundation in business management led him to pursue further studies at Middlesex University Dubai, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources and Business Management. At Middlesex, Henry gained valuable insights into organizational behavior, strategic management, and human capital development, allowing him to effectively manage teams and drive business success. This combination of technical knowledge and business acumen has equipped Henry with a well-rounded perspective, enabling him to approach challenges with both a practical and strategic mindset.

Having started his climb to success from humble beginnings in ONELGA, Rivers State, Henry is a dynamic professional with extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having served in different humble capacities at various organizations in his journey to the top. He is the founder and chief administrator of HH Luxury Hotel & Apartments Limited, a chain of hotels and restaurants providing luxury and comfort to a wide range of customers across multiple Nigerian states. He is also the founder and CEO of HEBB Contracting Nigeria Limited, a civil construction company involved road construction, dredging and equipment leasing, procurement and consultancy. Henry has consistently demonstrated his ability to manage people and processes and his expertise cuts across sectors making him a valuable asset in any organization he works with.
